KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) - Football is about scoring touchdowns and putting points on the scoreboard, which leads to winning the game.
Sometimes, a touchdown is worth much more than that.
Seven-year-old Bryce Snider was born with schizencephaly, a rare brain disorder which was caused by a stroke in utero.
He is completely immobile, cannot walk, talk, sit, stand and has little to no use of his extremities.
Although he is wheelchair bound, during Sunday's game between the Taylor Mill Eagles and the Northern Kentucky Bandits, his happiness knew no limits.
His brother Braylen plays for Taylor Mill and guided his younger brother in for the touchdown.
After the game, their father Bryan posted the following comment to Facebook,
"When we found out about Bryce having schizencephaly 6 years ago, I was crushed! Because I would never see him score a td, hit a home run or score a basket... not only for me, but for him. I wanted him to be able to do these things! Well, today he scored his very first touchdown! And as his dad I could not have been happier about the way things went!"
"It brought me to tears!" he added.
Taylor Mill director John Bennett and head coach Nelson Perrin, along with the Northern Kentucky Bandits head coach, helped set up the memorable moment.
Bryce's parents, Bryan and Nicole, have set up a Go Fund Me page to raise money for a handicap-accessible van for Bryce.
