Bandits roll into Super Bowl

Four Bandits teams will compete for the title!

Four in!

This weekend the NKY Bandits will compete for a program record, four Super Bowl titles! On Saturday both the Midgets and the Junior Youth will play at Newport High School starting at 2:00PM. On Sunday the Midget Youth and The Juniors will begin play at high noon at Walton-Verona Sports Complex.

Saturdays games will have the Bandits Midgets facing the South Kenton Lions. The Bandits Midgets finished the regular season undefeated and in the previous meeting between the two teams, the Bandits won a close 19-14 game. That was the Lions only regular season loss.

Immediately following the Midget game, the Bandits Junior Youth will battle the Campbell County Red Devils in a rematch that saw the Bandits lose 14-12 during the regular season.

On Sunday, the games will start with the Bandits undefeated Junior division squaring off against the Campbell County Red Devils. In their previous meeting the Bandits handed the Red Devils a 40-12 loss.

Following the Juniors, the Midget Youth will play the Union Raiders. The Midget Youth suffered only one loss this year and it came by way of the Raiders in a 13-12 battle.

When you look at the scores above you can see that both days will provide excellent football games and the Bandits hope to pack the house in support of our teams!

In the Bandits first two seasons they have won three Super Bowls. Coach Stanley Stone lead the 2014 Midgets to a win over the Spartans at Newport High School and Coach Mike Cook lead both the Juniors and the Junior Youth with both wins coming against the Bengal Tigers in 2015. Coaches Stanley stone and Brad Folke will attempt to bring home a record four Super Bowls in one season for the Bandits!
