One of the main objectives of the Northern Kentucky Youth Athletics (NKYA) has been the promotion of education among our athletes, families, and the community at large. To this end, in 2022, I directed NKYA’s board to create a scholarship program and the formation of a Scholarship Committee to nurture, grow, and maintain this scholarship program.

We have named the scholarship in honor of NKYA’s first President, Troy Fryman. Mr. Fryman’s work in 2014 leading the founding of this organization focused on the youth in the Hebron (Conner High School district) and his years of contributions to NKYA and the Boone County community as a whole make him a worthy honoree.

The Northern Kentucky Youth Athletics Troy Fryman Scholarship is awarded to a qualifying young student/athlete who is accepted and then enrolled in an undergraduate or technical/trade program at an accredited university, college, or technical school. The amount of scholarship for the calendar year 2023 is $500.

It is very important that you review the application carefully so you can become familiar with the items which are required. Be sure to refer to  the application for a checklist of items which must accompany your application. Incomplete applications will be disqualified.
